Chinese kunstenaar Liang Shaoji ontvangt Prins Claus Prijs van EUR 25.000,-. Prijs wordt zondag 7 maart uitgereikt in Nederlands Cultuurcentrum in Shanghai.
Werk van Chinese modeontwerpster Ma Ke voor het eerst te zien in Nederland. Ma Ke ontving in 2008 een Prins Claus Award en toont haar ontwerpen nu in Gemeentemuseum Den Haag.

For the tenth consecutive year, the Prince Claus Fund is happy to give the Prince Claus Fund Film Grant of €15,000 to a 2010 CineMart project. The Grant will be announced on 3 February during the CineMart Closing Night Party, Westelijk Handelsterrein,VanVollenhovenstraat 15, Rotterdam.

The Prince Claus Fund in collaboration with Centre Céramique provides relief for Chinese library that was destroyed by a severe earthquake. Support of 120.000 Euro was given to build storage rooms for the important collection of the Beichuan library.

The first episode of the XYZ Show was broadcast on the Kenyan television channel Citizen TV on Sunday, 17 May. The XYZ Show introduces Kenya to a new form of satire television, with life-sized puppets made to resemble famous persons.

For the ninth consecutive year, the Prince Claus Fund is happy to announce the presentation of the Prince Claus Fund Film Grant of €15,000 to a 2009 CineMart project. The Grant was announced on 28 January during the CineMart Closing Night Party. ‘Birdie’ by filmmaker Byamba Sakhya from Mongolia was selected by the Jury and granted the Prince Claus Fund Film Grant.
The Principal Award has been presented to Indira Goswami by HRH Prince Friso on 3 December 2008 in the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ in Amsterdam.
