Prince Claus Fund supports satirical puppet series in Kenya
The first episode of the XYZ Show was broadcast on the Kenyan television channel Citizen TV on Sunday, 17 May. The XYZ Show introduces Kenya to a new form of satire television, with life-sized puppets made to resemble famous persons.

Op zondag 17 mei gaat de XYZ Show van start op de Keniaanse televisiezender Citizen TV. De XYZ Show introduceert een voor Kenia nieuwe vorm van satirische televisie, met levensgrote poppen gebaseerd op bekende personen. Bedenker en initiator van de XYZ Show is de Keniaanse cartoonist en Prins Claus Prijswinnaar Godfrey Mwampembwa alias Gado.

Prince Claus Fund and SICA invited Christopher Cozier to speak about his work. Christopher Cozier is an artist and writer living and working in Trinidad. He participated in a number of exhibitions focussing on contemporary art in the Caribbean and other countries. Noraly Beyer, journalist and former newsreader at NOS will moderate the discussion with Cozier. read more

For the ninth consecutive year, the Prince Claus Fund is happy to announce the presentation of the Prince Claus Fund Film Grant of €15,000 to a 2009 CineMart project. The Grant was announced on 28 January during the CineMart Closing Night Party. ‘Birdie’ by filmmaker Byamba Sakhya from Mongolia was selected by the Jury and granted the Prince Claus Fund Film Grant.
The Principal Award has been presented to Indira Goswami by HRH Prince Friso on 3 December 2008 in the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ in Amsterdam.
