Historian Abdeljelil Temimi (Kairouan, 1938) has worked on behalf of cultural appreciation and exchange, focused on the history of Ottoman culture in the Arab world. Temimi has organised innumerable conferences and issued many publications in this field. Temimi wishes to build bridges between Arabic, Turkish and south-east European historians and cultural historians.
