14.5.2012 Meet Ayu Utami in the Tolhuistuin
Writer Ayu Utami is an Indonesian rebel. In her books she is not afraid to tackle taboos that are a inextricable part of the Islamic world. Whether it is about oppression, religion or sex. Friday 25 May, in the Tolhuistuin in Amsterdam, Ayu Utami talks about her life and work, her groundbreaking debut Samans Mission and her mysterious novel The Number Fu.

2.5.2012 Ticket Grant
The Prince Claus Ticket Grant supports cross-cultural exchange between artists and cultural practitioners in Latin America, Asia, Africa and the Caribbean. The Ticket Grant specifically covers the cost of tickets for travel (e.g. plane or train tickets).
18.4.2012 Reinforcement of the Alaverdi Monastery, Georgia
Torrential rains tormented Georgia in June 2011 Georgia and inundated for weeks the Alaverdi St. George Father Monastery, an 11th century Georgian Orthodox complex located in the Kakheti region (historically the most interesting region in Georgia). The Prince Claus Fund contributes to an extensive reinforcement plan to stabilize it's unique murals and the fundaments.
