The Art of African Fashion (1998) covers contemporary African fashion in the widest sense: clothes, textiles and hair design, body decoration and models – in short, all the arts relating to the decoration of human beings and the expression of self. Illustrated throughout with sumptuous colour and black and white photographs, the book has become canonical in the literature on African fashion and design.
