MYSA starts a new project for people with disabilities

Mathare Youth Sports Association (MYSA) have started a new project focusing on persons with disabilities, the project by the name of Kids
with disability project will be offering sport and recreational opportunities to the physically and mentally challenged.

Student Pathshala wins Prize for Photo

G.M.B.Akash a student from Pathshala's first batch wins first prize for his photo titled "Passengers without Ticket" in the prestigious Gordon Parks Photography Competition 2007. More work by Akash can be seen at www.majorityworld.com and www.gmb-akash.com

Misiones de Chiquitos

September 30th was the deadline for applying to be part of the VII International American Renaissance and Baroque Music Festival “Misiones de Chiquitos”. This festival will be held from April 24 through May 4, 2008. More than one hundred applications from 30 countries were received. We will try to choose one group from each country for a total of 30 groups. We are very happy with the quality and quantity of the applicants. We will also be including about 20 groups from Bolivia.
There will be over 120 concerts during the next Festival.

Videobrasil Residency Programme awards eight artists

Artists Dan Halter (Zimbabwe), Jamsen Law (Hong Kong/China), Federico Lamas and Nicolás Testoni (Argentina), and Eustáquio Neves, Marcellvs L., Danillo Barata, and Caetano Dias (Brazil) are the first winners of the Videobrasil Residency Programme. Read More

9 – 11 November 2007 ARTISSIMA 14, International Fair of Contemporary Art in Turin

The first event of Artissima Cinema, devoted this year to the city of Shanghai with a review of videos by a group of international artists, will take place at Mirafiori Motor Village, on November 9: preview of the project and conference “The OFF story of the contemporary art revolution in Shanghai.” ARTISSIMA CINEMA, curated by Davide Quadrio, BizArt/Arthub, Shanghai.
