Sad News

It is with deep regret that the Prince Claus Fund has learned of the tragic passing of Peter Serry.
Peter Serry was the director of MYSA when the organisation received the 2003 Prince Claus Award as well as the direct contact of the Prince Claus Fund when MYSA became a network partner in 2004. We highly appreciated working with him on a daily basis and were fortunate enough to have a glimpse and experience the role model that he represented to the Mathare people and beyond. Peter Serry will be sourly missed though we know his life will continue to be an example for the people of Mathare.

Message from the Prince Claus Awards team

Although you have just attended our ceremony of the 2008 Prince Claus Awards, we are currently busy researching the nominations for this year. We are very pleased that some of you have already submitted new candidates, but we would still be very happy if you have interesting ideas for our 2009 theme ‘Culture and Nature’. We are mainly looking for new nominations which relate to this theme, but interesting articles or projects (which might be of use for our research) are also very welcome.

If you would like to discuss your ideas or if you have further questions, please contact Fariba de Bruin-Derakhshani f.debruin@princeclausfund.nl
