Organisation

CER is a Prince Claus Fund program. The Board of the Prince Claus Fund set up the Cultural Emergency Response Steering Committee at CER’s inauguration in September 2003. The CER Steering Committee directs CER’s policy and organisation, and takes decisions on the implementation of its actions.

  • Georg Frerks, Head of Disaster Studies at the University of Wageningen, and Professor at the Centre for Conflict Studies at the University of Utrecht, The Hague
  • Ila Kasem, Director of Van de Bunt, Organisation and Management Consultants and Chairman of the Morocco Fund, Amsterdam
  • Marieke Sanders-ten Holte, former member of the European Parliament and Honorary Consul for Botswana, Aerdenhout
  • Paul Meijs, consultant and former Director of CARE Nederland, Boskoop

Cultural Emergency Response

CER provides emergency relief for cultural heritages that have been affected by man-made or natural disasters.
