On Saturday, 23 June 2007, the Afghan video and performance artist Ms Lida Abdul was presented with the 2006 Prince Claus Award at the National Museum in Kabul.
The Award was presented by H.E. Hans Blankenberg, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Works of Lida Abdul were shown. Omara Khan Massoudi, Director of the National Museum of Kabul and a 2004 Prince Claus laureate himself, invited the audience to visit the museum after the ceremony.
Round and about 100 people were invited.Persons from the cultural world, the corps diplomatique and officials attended the ceremony.
