Presentation 2005 Prince Claus Award to Lenin El-Ramly in Cairo

In a cheerful ceremony the Prince Claus Award was presented on 25 January to Lenin El-Ramly at the residence of the Netherlands Ambassador in Cairo.

The Aceremony started with a word of welcome by H.E. Tjeerd de Zwaan, in which he explained the importance and value of the Award.

Judith Belinfante, Vice-chair of the Prince Claus Fund delivered the Award which was handed to Lenin El-Ramly by the Ambassador. Professor of Dutch Literature Ms. M. Kolk delivered a speech on contemporary Egyptian theatre.

The ceremony was attended by a galaxy of intellectuals, thinkers and artists including Political Advisor to the President Mr. Osama Al-Baz, prominent writer Anis Mansour, Dr. Gaber Asfour, Ms. Fatma Al-Ma'doul, artist Ezzat Al-Alayli.
