Reza Abedini designs Dutch Book Week Poster 2007

Passion, human, knowledge, these are a few of the words that bubble out of a book in a special poster for this year’s Book Week. It can be seen not only in book stores and libraries. It’s also on street corners. The designer, Reza Abedini, received the principal Prince Claus Award for 2006.

Reza Abedini (1967) knows better than anyone how to build a bridge between tradition and renewal; in his work, he combines elements drawn from the rich history of Persian art and calligraphy with modern forms and imagery.

Book Week
Dutch Book Week aims at giving books in general a stronger position in society, first and foremost by letting the public discover what a rich offering of books there is in book stores and libraries all year long. This year Book Week takes place from March 14th to 24th.

Book Week Gift
The most significant feature of Book Week is the Book Week Gift. This is a book given to every customer who spends € 11.50 or more on a Dutch book.
