The Prince Claus Fund welcomes project proposals for cultural initiatives in the fields of digital culture and new media.

Digital forms of expression, both social and artistic, have the power of connecting diverse cultural interests, engaging communities, and giving rise to a wide-range of group interactions. Through this call, the Prince Claus Fund wishes to support innovative creative initiatives that link digital techniques and/or new media with culture and development.

The Prince Claus Fund is particularly interested in projects in the field of digital culture and new media that facilitates freedom of expression, stimulates dialogue and encourages cultural exchange. The Fund has a five year focus on the theme of culture and conflict and encourages project proposals related to this theme.

The deadline for the submission of projects is 17 June 2012. Only applications received before the deadline will be considered.

Requirements

• Both organizations and individuals are eligible to apply.
• All applications from Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean. For a specific list of the countries. 
• This call for applications supports cultural initiatives in all artistic disciplines at the exception of what is detailed below.

The Prince Claus Fund does not support

• The development, scripting, production and post-production of short and full-length documentary, animation, experimental, or feature films
• Research and writing of literary works, novels, short stories, poetry, or biographies
• Scholarships
• Infrastructural costs
• Projects that develop commercial software

Prince Claus Fund Grant Guidelines and Evaluation Criteria
