Our mission is to support, connect and celebrate artists and cultural practitioners where cultural expression is under pressure. We stand firm with those who create, who believe in the transformative power of culture, who advance new ideas and develop new perspectives.

Many different types of supporters make our work possible. For many years the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Dutch Postcode Lottery have been loyal contributors to the work of the Prince Claus Fund. Collaborating organisations like Magnum Foundation, The Arab Fund for Arts and Culture, the British Council and the Goethe Institut, among others, have broadened our reach, added expertise and become valued partners.
Through our Awards and additional activities, the Prince Claus Fund endeavors to strengthen cultural practice and contribute to a world in which culture can exert its transformative power and lead to positive change.
Our approach is designed to strengthen Individuals and create sustainable cultural momentum.
