The Grants & Collaborations programme of the Prince Claus Fund supports innovative, high quality cultural initiatives, in spaces where resources and opportunities for cultural expression, creative production and research are limited.

SELAT Open Call

'SELAT: Links through the Arts' calls for all cultural institutions in Lebanon to apply for grants to support new artistic and cultural projects that aim at enhancing the cultural life in Lebanon in general, and among Palestinian refugees in particular. 'SELAT: Links through the Arts' is a project launched in 2012 by AM Qattan foundation in partnership with Prince Claus Fund.

Ticket Fund

The Ticket Fund is open for applications from 1 February 2016 onwards. The Ticket Fund supports the cross-cultural exchange of artists and cultural practitioners. By covering travel costs, such as economy class plane or train tickets, the Ticket Fund assists in the professional growth and networking abilities of those it supports.

ADPP Workshop

The second cycle of the Arab Documentary Photography Programme 2015 (ADPP) held its second and final workshop in Beirut between 25 and 29 February 2016.  Nine documentary photographers engaged with their mentors from Magnum Foundation over an intensive five-day period in AFAC’s offices in Beirut and were visited by the Prince Claus Fund.

New network partners

The Prince Claus Fund is excited to announce the addition of two new network partners: Largo das Artes, an independent contemporary art center in Rio de Janeiro, run by the NGO Despina, that creates wide connections within the cultural field, and Land Art Mongolia, a non-profit, contemporary art organization that raises awareness for nature, culture and social policies through art in Mongolia

New Grantees

The Prince Claus Fund and the British Council would like to congratulate the grantees selected for the 2015 Syria, Beyond Arts Programme! The Syria, Beyond Arts Programme call welcomed project proposals aimed at supporting high quality artistic projects by Syrian artists, photographers, musicians, dancers, writers, and cultural bloggers and Syrian arts organisations that focus on those displaced within and beyond Syria.

Review

For the 2014 Culture in Defiance call, the Prince Claus Fund selected twenty-six projects from twenty-four different countries. The term ‘culture in defiance’ refers to cultural inniatives that support artist expression in conflict areas or regions in transition from war.  Through Culture in Defiance the Prince Claus Fund supported projects that create spaces of freedom where people can express themselves, develop critical thinking and shape ideas for future development.
